I really appreciated a moment of Pilates amongst the current craziness of life to gather myself mentally and physically.
Just did an online class after a few weeks off and I’ve forgotten how much my body and I love Pilates.
I had been informed by my spinal surgeon that Pilates is the best possible exercise for building up core body strength and diminishing back pain.
l have found in Jo a superb instructor. She was recommended to me by a friend.
Being also a registered physiotherapist Jo is able to advise clients in the classes of any adaptations of the Pilates exercises needed to accommodate conditions such as osteoporosis.
TJo inspires everyone in the class to work to the best of their best ability whilst also making the class fun.
Jo is extremely personable. I recommend her for both individual and class sessions.
Thank you Jo for your well presented and easy to follow Pilates Classes. I have been doing them regularly since lock-down and they have certainly helped keep me supple and fit. Your references to peaches, blueberries, meringues and Maltesers is lovely and really helps me think about my posture! I look forward to the time when we can all be together again in Slindon Village Hall.
As someone who has never been particularly keen on exercise, I can thoroughly recommend Jo’s classes. She makes them interesting and varied so I always want to go, do my best but never feel under any pressure to do more than my (ageing) body is capable of. As for her videos during lockdown, they have kept me going and kept me sane.
‘Jo’s classes are welcoming and inclusive for all levels of student. She is able to blend key Pilates principles with her experience as a practising physiotherapist, whilst delivering instruction using the internationally renowned research-based APPI framework. Jo’s classes are well planned, with an easy to follow structure. Each session is varied, as she provides students with different equipment to enhance the range of movement possible and improve their overall flexibility.
Jo is an encouraging teacher, who motivates her students to improve their own personal goals, whilst nurturing a supportive and enjoyable community for them to feel part of.’
‘Jo’s classes are fun, and her instructions are easy to follow. As she is a trained physiotherapist, she can help people with conditions such as osteoporosis, hip replacements, etc. to get the most benefit out of their sessions’.
‘Jo’s sessions are well planned and perfectly delivered, they are always great fun, interesting and challenging. Being a trained Physio Jo is able to “tweak” the sessions to suit the individual and despite various joint and back problems, thanks to the pilates, I am able to continue with my very active lifestyle. Highly recommended!!’.
‘I’ve osteoporosis and some of the moves are adapted specially for my condition, I’ve no fear of hurting myself as I’ve confidence in her knowledge. Jo’s classes are great, my core is stronger so my posture has improved. Many thanks Jo’.
